Sea Scout Ship 12, BSA
Glen Cove, New York

BARRACUDA

We are Sea Scouts Ship 12, based in Glen Cove, New York. We are a unit of the Boy Scouts of America, although our organization and programming is different from Boy Scouting.

Our members are boys and girls between 14 and 20 who share an interest in maritime activities, both recreational and occupational. Our sponsors are the City of Glen Cove’s Parks and Recreation Department, and the Glen Cove Lions Club. Glen Cove residency is NOT required.

Ship 12 generally meets from 2000 (8:00 p.m.) to 2130 (9:30 p.m.) on the second and fourth Thursdays of each month (holidays notwithstanding) during the school year, at the Glen Cove Yacht Club.

Summer meetings will often coincide with water activity, and are held from 1900 (7:00 p.m.) to 2130 (9:30 p.m.) on each Thursday at The Waterfront Center in Oyster Bay.
