Who can join the Sea Scouts?
Teens age 14-21 can join Sea Scouts. Sea Scouting is a co-ed program. Our ship has a program where you can join at the age of 12, not as a full member of the ship, but you can experience Sea Scouting and become a full member when you turn 14.

What is Sea Scouting?
Sea Scouting is a branch of the Boy Scouts of America that falls under the Venturing division. It is completely co-ed. To find out more visit www.seascout.org.

Where are the boats kept?
Our 34' Bayliner, SSTV Ranger is kept at the North Hudson Yacht Club in Edgewater, NJ year round. Our boat berthed there at no cost to the Ship. In return we assist with projects and Ceremonies for the yacht club.

When is the work done on the boats?
We have work parties on Saturdays from late March to November. It is not required to be available every Saturday to work on the boat. School & family come first.

What are some other things that Sea Scouts do other than boating?
Our Ship does many other activities - Coast Guard Base tours, Boat Show, Social Events, trainings, and much more!
