Shipyard - 2003

The Hull was sandblasted to bare white metal as the paint system applied in 2000 had failed in many areas.
The hull was painted from the rail top to the boot. The finish color was changed from white to a very light grey.
Both propeller shafts were replaced.
Both propellers were removed and taken to the shop for balancing and repair of nicks.
While the props and shafts were out, all of the cutlass bearings were replaced. This should quiet the driveline significantly.
All of the zincs anodes were replaced. We will be replacing them with magnesium anodes shortly to improve cathodic protection of the hull.
The 12 volt DC panelboard was replaced by an ABYC compliant breaker panel.
All of the remaining DC wiring was removed & replaced by UL approved boat cable.
The GPS display was relocated to the pilots position from the chart table. The chartplotter has a slave display built in.
Access doors were cut into the chart table to allow access to the PC with the chartplotter software.
The flat panel display for the chartplotter PC was relocated to the bulkhead, with a quick mount system. This will allow the display to be removed for safekeeping.
A battery back up was added to the PC based chartplotter to preserve data integrity.
An experimental CPDP modem was added to allow wireless e-mail while underway.
